This guide will show you easy step-by step instructions to create THE BEST ANGRY BIRD EVER OUT OF CLAY (we really aren't exaggerating, he is so great that we need to use all uppercase yellow lettering to say it).
HOW TO CREATE CHUCK THE YELLOW BIRD IN
EASY STEPS OUT OF OVEN BAKE CLAY
1. I prefer using 1/2 an oz. of yellow clay for Chuck specifically, but the amount you use is really up to you. However much clay you use, roll it into a sphere, the largest you can make. Then pinch the sphere so it has 3 corners - it should look like a small yellow triangle.
2. Next, you should create the eyes by using a pinch of white clay. Roll them into spheres, then flatten them so you get roughly 2 1/3 cm. disc. Stick them onto 1 side of Chuck's body - any one you want. Then roll 2 super tiny black clay blobs into discs just like what you did with the white clay. Put them in the middle of Chuck's eye whites.
3. Now you should have a Chuck with small eyes. Next - we'll create Chuck's beak. In my opinion, it is actually the simplest part of the whole process. All you do is you just grab a small lump of orange clay and mold it in a tiny cone shape. Place the beak just below and in between Chuck's eyes.
4. You're doing good - we're almost done!! Next is where we create Chuck's hair & tail feathers. Take 7 small pieces of black clay and roll them into 7 little black points. Stick 4 points together and place them on the point on top of Chuck's head. Then, stick the remaining 3 together and place them on the adjacent corner to where Chuck's face is. Don't place them too far down - it won't look as good!!
5. Final step!! Lastly, we will create Chuck's belly and eyebrows. Grab 2 small clumps of red clay and roll them into points. Stick them just above Chuck's eyes pointing upward. Lastly, for Chuck's belly, we will take a small ball of white clay and flatten it so you have something that looks like a medium size pancake. Cut it in half and place at the very bottom of Chuck's face.
Congratulations!! You now have your very own mini Chuck. This is what it mostly should look like:
